Chelsea supervisor Jose Mourinho confessed his team were
in luck while visiting Paris St-Germain as they secured a 1-1 draw in
the first leg game of Champions League last-16 at Parc des Princes. Branislav
Ivanovic provided the lead to the league leaders in the 36th minute,
with his first European goal since 2013, which was terminated by Edinson Cavani
after the break. After that the Blues goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois brilliantly
saved a number of shots from PSG players to deny them a victory.
The result was better than the last season’s first leg game of quarter finals which was played between the two sides at the same venue and Mourinho is happy with the performance of his team. Last year, PSG defeated Chelsea by 3-1 in the first leg but they qualified for the semi finals on away goals after winning second leg by 2-0 win at Stamford Bridge.
Leaders Chelsea will host PSG on 11th March
in the second leg and are the strong favourites this time, because they lose
only one game at home this season against Bradford in the FA Cup fourth round.
Jose Mourinho’s side have
their next match on Saturday in which Burnley will be the opponents in a Premier League game and the tickets are
available at SportsAndEventsTickets.com
with great price.
