Boks Make Five Changes For Twickenham Test Against England

JP Pietersen and Schalk Burger will start Twickenham test against England on Saturday in the Castle Lager Outgoing Tour. Five changes to the team have been made by swapping between the bench and the starting lineup. Hooker Adriaan Strauss and the halfback pair of Cobus Reinach and Pat Lambie will also start along with Pietersen and Burger. We have admitted we did not play well against Ireland last weekend and everyone in the touring squad has thought deeply for its causes, “Said Meyer. “We have worked hard to find out the mistakes made by us and their implementation on Saturday is now a challenge.” Meyer said changes that have been made are rotational in nature that were in his mind before the start of the trip but are not reaction of the Dublin outcome.

Pietersen, Lambie and Strauss all took start two years ago in the Springbok’s last test at Twickenham while Reinach will start first time in the starting team on Saturday’s match. “Pat did very well for us when he started at Twickenham two years ago, “said Meyer. “He is playing very well at this time and I wanted he should start. Pat is very wise and he has a lot of experience although he is still very young. JP, Schalk and Adriaan all took start in a number of tests this year and we decided earlier that all these players will start in one of the first two tests of trip."
