England Rugby Player Mike Tindall Retires

England Rugby World Cup winner Mike Tindall announces his retirement from rugby. Mike Tindall is the last member of England’s 2003 World Cup winning squad who declares his retirement. He was player-coach at Gloucester during last season but was not offered a new agreement. He made 75 appearances for his country. He said: “It was not a difficult decision. I wanted to stay another year at Gloucester or retire. I did not want to play for another club so I retired.”
Tindall decided to retire four days after his close friend Iain Balshaw announced his retirement. He was captain of England in 2011 and Played 181 matches for Gloucester. He added: “I have been playing for 17 years. I wanted to be away from the game to see if I am still in the environment or not or I should do something else. I have played 8 years in Bath and had 9 years at Gloucester. I am proud of those moments and I wanted to finish it in the way like this.”
