Rugby Achievements of South Africa National Team

The South Africa national team plays for South Africa in rugby union. Their kits are green and golden jerseys along with white shorts. They have been playing international rugby since they played their first test match with a British Isles team on 30 July 1891. South Africa did not participate in 1987 and 1991 Rugby World Cups because they were boycotted due to anti apartheid policies although they were founding member of the Rugby World Cup tournament.  The team made its first World Cup appearance in 1995 where the Springboks defeated the All Blacks 15-12 in the final.
The Springboks got first position in the IRB World Rankings at World Cup 2007. They were nominated for the 2008 World Team of the Year at the Laureus World Sports Awards. South Africa again won the Rugby World Cup in 2007 after defeating England 15-6 in the final. They also play Rugby Championship along with Argentina, Australia and New Zealand. South Africa has won this championship 3 times. The International Rugby Board currently ranks them second in the world.

Rugby fans if you want to secure your South Africa Rugby World Cup Tickets at charming prices and with the best seat plans then Sports and Events Tickets is the only choice which meets all your ticket demands.
