Football Achievements of Chelsea Forward Diego Costa

Diego Costa is a professional Spanish football player who plays in the English club Chelsea as a forward. His career was started with Braga in Portugal. He signed with Atletico Madrid in 2007 who gave him on loan back to Braga. He came back to Atletico in the next season, helped them to win the league title in 2014 by scoring 27 goals and then he moved to Chelsea. He represented Brazil in 2013 then desired to represent Spain after he was given Spanish citizenship in September 2013. He made his first appearance for Spain in March 2014 and was chosen for the World Cup 2014.

Chelsea declared on 1 July 2014 that an agreement has been done with Atletico Madrid for the transfer of Diego Costa. Chelsea confirmed the 5 year contract on 15 July. On joining Chelsea Costa said: “I am very happy for signing with Chelsea and to begin in England with extraordinary coach and team fellows. It is a huge club. I have played against Chelsea and I know I am joining the high quality squad.”
