Fiji has qualified for the Rugby World Cup 2015 after defeating Cook Islands by 108-6 to play England opener at Twickenham. The Cook Islands were leading 6-5 after half an hour in qualifying match because Fiji made some errors. But the tries by 11 different players soon gave speed to Fiji. Fiji has been placed in pool A along with England, Wales, Australia and a qualifier. Fiji will also have England opener in the 2015 Rugby World Cup at Twickenham. Three tries were scored by Nemani Nadolo and Matuisela Talebula, adriu Delai, Nikola Matawalu and Timoci Nagusa all tried twice.
Fiji captain Akapusi Qera said: “We knew that Cook Islands would attack us in the first 20 minutes. We arranged to handle it and won. It was a big game and thing for us as a player to qualify for the Rugby World Cup.” The captain of Cook Islands Stan Wright said: “It was a tough game for us and we lost to a better side. There is a gap between us and them and we have to cover it. We need guys to play for Cook Islands.”
