Manchester City vs Chelsea Game Ended in Draw

 Manchester City and Chelsea have played a 1-1 drawn match against each other on Sunday 21 September. Chelsea’s former record goal scorer helped Manchester City to win a point with late equalizer. He also slid home an attempt on goal by Andre Schurle with five minutes remaining. Costa showed his fight for Premier League by having hand in Schurrle’s goal with involvement in Zabaleta’s second yellow card. City dominated territory and possession during the first 45 minutes while Chelsea played only defensive game. Chelsea keeper saved an attempt from Sergio Aguero and Ramires took rebound away from Dzeko. 

Costa’s closeness to City’s defence resulted in several physical exchanges which finally led to Zabaleta’s red card. Pellegrini brought in Bacary Sanga for Dzeko to compensate the numerical strength of Chelsea. But Costa gave a pass to Eden Hazard whose cross was taken by Schurrle who went ahead of Mangala to score a goal. Costa almost scored a second goal with a shot against post which created situation in favor of Lampard. When James Milner gave a cross back at the far post, Lampard capitalized it as Branislav Ivanovic could not track him in the area. But seeing Lampard in the sky blue of City rather than in the Royal blue of Chelsea seems something unreal.
