New Zealand Beat South Africa in the 2014 Rugby Championship

New Zealand has defeated South Africa in the 2014 Rugby Championship. Captain Richie McCaw helped New Zealand in 14-10 win against South Africa by scoring his 25th Test try. A clever kick from fly half Aaron Cruden helped the All Black to cross in the corner from Kieran Reid’s reverse pass. Earlier South Africa leaded because of Cornal Hendricks try through the defense on 16 minutes. The All Blacks are ahead of South Africa and Australia by six points in the table. Cruden helped Kiwis to lead in the 10th minute with a penalty. South Africa answered back when Hendricks and Handre Pollard converted after five minutes.

Strong defense of South Africa gave the All Blacks just one more Cruden penalty with Boks leading 7-6 at the break. But McCaw put New Zealand back in the game with 46th minute try and Beauden Barrett’s penalty after 66 minutes cancelled out a drop goal from Pollard. South Africa put pressure on hosts in the final five minutes but New Zealand preserved the record to win 36 home tests consecutively over a five year period. New Zealand will meet South Africa again on 4 October.
